On Jan. 1, 2020 a new rule requires Californians to have qualifying health insurance coverage throughout the year.
若您2020年並無申請健康保險，您在2021年申報2020年的稅金時將須繳交最低$695的罰金，而小孩的罰金則為一半。假設一家四口於整年度內並無健康保險，將有可能面臨至少$2,000的罰金。
The penalty will be $695 or more when you file your 2020 state income tax return in 2021. The penalty for a dependent child is half of what it would be for an adult. A typical family of four that goes uninsured for the whole year would face a penalty of at least $2,000.
