“Health at Beiyi” – Exclusive Medicare Seminar for the 1978 Graduates of Taipei First Girls High School “Beiyi”.

The seminar was successfully held around the open enrollment period, kicking off a series of events focused on your health.

From October 15 to December 7, during the Medicare annual open enrollment period (AEP) it is your once a year chance for application services and personalized professional consultations.

EPIA Inc., 權威保險, founded in 1992, is an authority in the field of health insurance. In this seminar, Chief Consultant and CEO Angel Peil (裴映棋) tailored the “Health at Beiyi” seminar specifically for its alumni and co-hosted it with the renowned physician Dr. Hsiao Fen Chen (陳筱芬).

We provided an in-depth analysis of the complexities of Medicare benefits, ensuring that participants gained the relevant knowledge to make informed decisions about their healthcare.

The seminar covered an overview of senior insurance, including Original Medicare, Parts A, B, and D coverage, Medicare Supplement Insurance (Medigap), and MAPD. Rich information about this year’s changes in registration was also shared. A Q&A session addressed common questions on topics such as dental, vision, and hearing aid insurance, out-of-state and international coverage, the flexibility and freedom of using insurance, and emphasized the importance of early planning.

Additionally, we reminded attendees of a significant policy change regarding the Medicare Part D “Donut Hole” drug policy, which will end at the end of 2024. Starting January 1, 2025, the Medicare Part D plan will have a $2000 out-of-pocket maximum. Once this limit is reached, your drug plan will cover all your medication costs for the remainder of the year.
