Life Insurance - An employer-paid Basic Group Term Life Insurance Plan available to supervisory, confidential, and managerial employees. Employees designated supervisory and confidential have $25,000 of basic insurance coverage and employees designated as exempt and managerial have $50,000 in coverage.


Dental Insurance - The State also offers its employees and their dependents the choice of a variety of dental insurance plans. The State pays all or almost all the plan premiums for employees and dependents.


Vision Insurance – The State offers both a basic and an enhanced vision insurance plan. Two vision plans. There is no cost to employees for the basic plan and a small fee for the enhanced plan.


Employee Assistance Program – A free benefit provided to State employees, the EAP provides a valuable resource for support and information for a variety of situations. Legal, financial, and emotional counseling is available as well as a host of benefits like discounts to movies and theme parks.


FlexElect Reimbursement Accounts - This tax-advantage program allows workers to set a fixed monthly deduction from their paycheck which is deposited into a “reimbursement account.” Employees can then submit medical expenses for reimbursement from the account. The deduction is before tax withholding.
